Mascioletta is a little cat with an incredibly gentle nature, just like her name suggests. In local dialect, masciola means “very good,” and she truly embodies that sweetness in every gesture. ✨
She is the daughter of Kiri and the sister of Pelosone and Lillo, other two wonderful cats whose story we haven’t published yet because, being even more shy than Mascioletta, they are nearly impossible to be photographed. Mascioletta isn’t just affectionate and tender with humans: she’s also very timid and avoids any kind of conflict with other cats.
Because of this, she spends most of her days wandering quietly through the vegetable gardens and yards near the colony, preferring one in particular: Alessandro. Alessandro is a dear friend of our association, and he never misses a chance to offer her something to eat, truth be told, he absolutely spoils her! 💖
Thanks to her sweet and gentle nature, Mascioletta has also become close friends with Nerone. The two of them can often be seen spending time together, strolling side by side or sunbathing on the grass, simply enjoying each other’s company🍃
Mascioletta never makes noise, she doesn’t seek attention at all costs, she doesn’t demand her space with arrogance. Yet, with her quiet sweetness, she has managed to carve out a special place for herself in our hearts and in the history of the colony. Her life goes like this: simple, serene, pampered by those who know her and full of those little moments of peace that she knows how to appreciate more than anyone else. And it is precisely in this simplicity that Mascioletta reveals her magic: reminding us that goodness, true goodness, never needs to raise its voice🫶🏻
