We hesitated for a while before sharing the story of Artù, or rather, Arturino, as everyone here calls him.
He’s still very young, and we know all too well how tough life can be for a kitten born in a clowder.
But some stories are simply too beautiful not to be told and his is one of them 💛
Arturino is the son of our beloved Mammona, and most likely her last kitten, since we finally managed to have her spayed. He was born on May 28th, a date we’ll always remember. Sadly, two of his siblings didn’t make it 💔
From the very beginning, we knew this little one was special: he was born with a short, stubby tail, making him instantly recognizable.
But don’t be fooled, that tiny tail can wag with more joy than you can imagine, especially when he sees us arriving for mealtime 🐱💞
When we caught Mammona to be spayed, we took Arturino with her. During their time in foster care, he made us work hard for his trust: he’d stare at us from a distance, suspicious and alert, as if to say, “Who are you and what do you want from me?”
He didn’t seem to want anything to do with humans.
But as often happens with gentle souls, time worked its quiet magic.
Once back “home,” surrounded by familiar scents and sounds, his true nature began to shine.
The frightened kitten we knew turned into a little beam of light, playful, affectionate, and full of life.
Now, every day he waits for us, running up with excitement, his eyes bright and his tail (what’s left of it!) wagging with joy.
He often shares his meals, naps, and adventures with his inseparable friend Kiri 🐾💫
They play, nap side by side, and comfort each other, two tiny hearts facing a big world together.
Arturino is curious, lively, and full of love. Every time we see that short little tail waving proudly, our hearts just melt.
He’s living proof that even through hardship and loss, hope always finds a way to shine through.
We’ve made him a promise: to protect him, to help him grow strong and loved.
And deep down, we know that this little knight with a huge heart, so tender and so brave, will face his journey with the courage of someone who’s already won his first battle 💖
