To friends, she’s simply Cleo, but her full name says it all: Cleopatra. A regal name, chosen for the unique pattern around her eyes, reminiscent of the iconic eyeliner of ancient Egyptian queens. And like a true queen, Cleo walks with grace, pride, and plenty of attitude!
We’re quite convinced she’s Queen’s sister. They’re nearly always together, basking in the sun, exploring the garden, or (inevitably) having a sisterly squabble over food. But their bond is clear, strong, and full of feline sisterhood.😻🫶🏻
Cleo doesn’t let anyone push her around. She’s got presence, a steady gaze, and she knows how to command respect. And yet, whenever she spots one of our volunteers, she approaches confidently, hungry eyes and trusting steps. She’s figured out exactly who we are, and she’s not afraid to show her appreciation. Just like with Queen, we suspect she once lived in a home. Her ease around humans, even in her independence, speaks volumes.🐈💖
And then there’s Nerone. Her shadow. Her bodyguard. Wherever Cleo goes, Nerone is right there, faithfully escorting her like a personal security detail. But Cleo, ever the diva, often shuts him down with a single glance that says: “Thanks, but I’ve got this.” A true strong, independent cat-woman, majestic and free.
Cleopatra is a stunning blend of dignity, beauty, and mystery. And for us, she’s one more shining star in the sky of our feline clowder.🐱🐾❤️
